CIM Capital is an investment company that has successfully managed a series of company restructurings. We support companies that run into difficulties and need financial, and usually also operational, reinforcement.
We do not shy away from taking an active role ourselves: hands-on from the board of directors or through specific project support.

Our history
CIM Capital has a history as an advisory and investment company based in Antwerp, focused on turnaround situations. Backed by a network of private and institutional investors, it realised several restructurings over the years with very hands-on financial and operational involvement.
After the acquisition of Veritas at the end of 2019 and the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, the idea grew to create a fund dedicated to investments in companies in difficulty. Erik Verkest joined Marc Van Hool, Bart Onderbeke and Jan Peeters to lead the set-up and management of CIM Capital Restruct Fund (CCR Fund). The fund raised €65 million from private and institutional investors, including the Federal, Flemish and Walloon governments through FPIM, PMV and Wallonie Entreprendre.
To also serve smaller companies in need, CIM Ventures was set up to advise and invest in smaller enterprises on a deal-by-deal basis, led by a separate team and building on the strengths of the CIM Capital platform: long-standing experience in complementary fields, fast decision making and an eye for opportunities.
With the launch of CCR Fund II in 2026, Oscar Van Hool and Jef Stalmans, who previously led CIM Ventures and the CVI Fund, joined as partners. Our teams now operate as one firm, CIM Capital, with CCR Fund II as its investment vehicle. By joining forces, we extend our scope to the wider spectrum of special situations: structurally underperforming businesses, succession and ownership transitions, carve-outs of non-core activities, and complex shareholder or financing structures.
